As someone who has had Red Hook Tavern on her list for ages but never makes the trek. This made me feel better about prioritizing other burger adventures

Glad I could help! I mean don’t get me wrong, you should definitely go and see how you like it. But maybe wait til it gets a little warmer out and make a day of visiting red hook!

I have to know how much was the burger and also must know more about the sundae!

The burger was $29, which is priced in between the Minetta Burger ($31) and the Peter Luger Burger ($27). However I would happily pay the extra $2 for the Minetta Burger because the flavor is better and the fries are a huuuuuge step up (in both taste and quantity, I can never finish all of Minetta's fries).

The sundae has fior di latte gelato from Dolce Brooklyn in Cobble Hill and is topped with hot fudge and candied pecans. I don't really like chocolate that much, so the sundae was just fine for me. But Lorenzo loves a hot fudge sundae and he also thought the candied pecans were really good - similar to the nuts you might get from a street cart. So it was definitely good, but also felt like something I could easily recreate at home.

That is too much for a hamburger. Unless someone is treating me. Then it’s a great price!

AND I WANT THAT SUNDAE.

Oh yeah, it's a special occasion burger for sure! I wish I was in a place where I could eat lavish $30+ burgers for dinner regularly 😅
