New York City is a big place and I want to take you along as I challenge myself to see and do as much as possible🚡

NYC is an amazing place to live that’s as beautiful as it is disgusting and as welcoming as it is harsh. It’s easy to believe that NYC is exactly what you see in the movies and to some degree it is, but there’s so much more under the surface if you just take the time to learn and explore. My goal is to get outside of my own personal bubble and share fun and exciting and educational experiences with you 🤸 ✨

Who the heck am I?

👋 I’m Eden, named after my great-grandma Edith, a lady with big hair & big dreams. She moved from Belarus to Sheepshead Bay and I once accidentally got a dress tailored across the street from her old home.
🎬 I studied film in college, worked in that world for a bit, then left the biz. I currently work at a food startup doing employee experience/office management stuff.
🗽 Born on Long Island, living in Brooklyn for 15+ years. I’ve moved from Bensonhurst to Gravesend to Bed-Stuy to Bushwick, watched the V train disappear, seen the M train change routes, and gotten stuck in the Bermuda Triangle that is the Dekalb Interlocking too many times to count.
🐱 Mom of two cats, dessert aficionado. I literally give people directions based on where my favorite ice cream shops are. I also grew up eating ketchup on my pasta & I stand by it.

All subscribers get weekly Thursday posts containing a mix of:

😋 NOSHING - reviews of restaurants or food I’ve tried. This ain’t Yelp babe, I’ll be super honest about what was good, if the bathrooms were nice, and give you some tips for the best experience.
🍿 WATCHING - I went to film school and (for better or worse) love thinking and talking about movies and TV shows. Sure this doesn’t really have anything to do with NYC, but I need an outlet and here you are.
🛼 EXPLORING - NYC has endless things to do and I’m taking you along while I try as much as I can! Museum visits, craft classes, fun pop-ups, parks worth the subway trek - we’re gonna do it all.
🧠 LEARNING - I am an absolute nerd for NYC history and frequently go down the rabbit hole to learn more about buildings, neighborhoods, people, infrastructure, and anything else that helped create the city that I call home.
😎 WHAT’S GOOD - Every issue has an event roundup. I focus on more niche and affordable events that other big roundup accounts might not post. I write about events a week-ish before they occur because I hate it when I hear about an event happening tonight and it’s already sold out or I already have plans.
🐱 Bonus pictures of my cats (and sometimes pictures of other people’s cats when I’m on a cat sitting gig)
