I loled at Pikachu Blade Runner. Also, not having seen the movie, I'm getting big Superstar Jesus vibes from how you're describing Ryan Reynolds doing double voice acting. IS PIKACHU NOT REAL? HAS JUSTICE SMITH'S BRAIN CREATED A SMASHED UP VERSION OF A MYTHICAL POKEMON AND HIS DAD? Again, I have not seen the movie and also I have no idea who Justice Smith is.
In order to save Ryan Reynolds after a car crash, Mewtwo moves his consciousness into his partner Pokémon, Pikachu. So justice Smith is speaking to a pikachu that is essentially housing his dad’s spirit (and voice) for the whole movie. Until the end when Mewtwo gives Ryan Reynolds his body back and pikachu reverts back to a normal pikachu.
